Cover design for Donna Johnson's book of poems, Selvage, published February 2013 by Carnegie Mellon University Press. The cover painting of the author's house was cut into strips so as to resemble the selvage strips on the edges of fabric. In the final cover design, the strips are arranged in a haphazard pattern, as if falling or being scattered, to parallel the book's theme of learning to fit in where one has fallen.
